On August 16,the press conference of Jingzhou International Marathon was hosted. Sun Yuqiu, Deputy Director of the Organization Committee of Jingzhou International Marathon 2018 and Vice Mayor of Jingzhou Government, and Wen Yi, Deputy Director of the Organization Committee of Jingzhou International Marathon 2018 and Director of Jingzhou Bureau of Education and Sports, attended the conference.

Sun Yuqiu made an introduction on the basic situation of the agenda at the conference. She said that, as the first stop of “Yangtze River Economic Zone Marathon Matches”,it consists of four parts, namely full marathon (42.195 km), half marathon(21.0975 km), mini marathon (around 7 km), and family running (around 4 km).Compared to last year, the scale has expanded one time into 20,000 people. At present, works including marathon route setting and runner registration have already completed while works such as preheating promotion, and reconstructionof marathon track environment and track maintenance and renovation have beenfully conducted. The goal of hosting this match this year is to fight for the silver matches of Chinese Athletic Association and even for the golden matches.

Wen Yi gave detailed answers to the questions forwarded by reporters in the Q & A session and also made an introduction on the highlights of the event. At the conference, the runners’ clothing and mascot design has been released. It is said that,this year, it mainly designs two clothes targeting at all parts by taking rosered as the dominant tone and the elk and cowfish as the design elements with the purpose of calling for people to pay attention to protect ecological environment.
